This is one of the thousands of roadside saloons that you can often find in the rural and underdeveloped markets of India. You can also find them in some parts of old bustling cities or neglected areas. One chair and a piece of mirror are all it needs.
You won't see the use of sophisticated tools - they use very traditional and simple instruments. Everything is done manually by hand. Their customers are mostly daily workers and vendors.
This saloon is nothing like what we see in cities. It is very unfussy and traditional, and the barber uses his hand to do everything manually - there is no buzz of machines or electric appliances.
The same piece of cloth is tied around the neck and the same mirror is used for everyone who sits on the exact, same, old chair which isn't really changed.
